CARMEL BY THE SEA – HOME TO THREE CARMEL RESTAURANTS

In most cities there are restaurants tucked away, off the beaten path. Restaurants loved by locals and adventurous visitors alike who seek them out. This is true of our esteemed Carmel restaurants. Carmels' Carmel Bistro is on San Carlos opposite the Clint Eastwood building. Da Giovanni is in downtown Carmel. Nestled into Carmel Plaza you will find Bistro Beaujolais. Discover a world of dining that is second to none.

Carmel-by-the-Sea, often called simply Carmel, is a small city in Monterey County, California, founded in 1902 and incorporated in 1916. Carmel is situated on the Monterey Peninsula - known for its natural scenery and rich artistic history. In 1906, the San Francisco Call devoted a full page to the "artists, poets and writers of Carmel-by-the-Sea", and in 1910 it reported that 60 percent of Carmel's houses were built by citizens who were "devoting their lives to work connected to the aesthetic arts."

Carmel is known for being dog-friendly, with numerous hotels, restaurants and retail establishments admitting guests with dogs. Our three Carmel restaurants have outdoor patios for local Carmel residents and travelers alike ... those who like to bring their dog along.

Carmel-by-the-Sea is located on the California Pacific Coast, just north of Big Sur, about 330 miles north of Los Angeles and south of Monterey and Pebble Beach, 120 miles south of San Francisco.
